How to get hold of books and documents ordered from other libraries

If you ordered a whole book to be borrowed from another library, you will get an email when it is ready to collect from the Welcome Desk. You will be told how long you can keep it for (this varies depending on which library we have borrowed from). You will be charged a fine if you bring it back late.

If you ordered a journal article or a book extract, it will usually be delivered electronically to your University email account. It will probably be sent securely from the British Library so that only you can download it. You will be able save it for 3 years or print it out if you want to keep it for ever. Sometimes only a paper copy is available, in which case you will get an email when it is ready to collect from the Library.
